Comments: This is a GREAT collection of stories. Stories were chosen by readers on the website of the same name. All proceeds from the book go to support the website.

Extensions:
1. Media Specialist will recommend various authors from this book by reading short stories aloud to groups of boys, through morning announcements or new shows, or through an "exploratory" or reading group in middle school.
2. Start your own "Guys Read Field Office." A simple "How to" is located here.
3. As part of a middle school curriculum, offer a "Guys Read" option(an all-girl option could be offered as well.) This book could be the basis for creating opportunties for sharing authors, funny books, writing book reviews to post to the "Guys Read" blog, and creating audio and video podcasts for school announcments or news shows.

Such reading should represent a diverse collection of material from at least three different literary forms and from at least five different writers.
