Here is a description of this week's activities in the library.
Kindergarten

| Following our read aloud last week about Sophie and her squash, students will be drawing pictures of Sophie and/or Bernice, or something that they liked or remembered from the book. This picture of Bernice was drawn by a student in Ms. Pitts' class.
First Grade

| In the second book, Sophie goes to school and learns about friendship - friendship with other children. Sophie's teacher talks to the class about what friendship means and then asks the children to draw a picture of their friends. First graders drew pictures of their friends - real, imaginary, canine, etc. |
Second and Third Grade
Second and third graders used Destiny, our library catalog, to explore and search for books with a partner. They could search by keyword, title, author, or subject. You can access a video that explains this by clicking here and then on the second or third grade tab. Some students used the information they found in Destiny to find their book on the shelf. They also learned how to get to our online resources through Destiny. Ask your student to show you the message to parents about finding the passwords to our online resources in Infinite Campus.
