Plot Summary: To eliminate any possibility of bad dreams, Scaredy decides to stay up ALL night.

Comments: Scaredy is an endearing, neurotic character. Second graders at Winnona Park Elementary are really enjoying his books right now.

Extensions:
1. Prepare a Jackdaw to illustrate the many items Scaredy uses in his quest for security.

2. Assign the students to use a Jackdaw as a way for them to illustrate and articulate a favorite story. These could be displayed in the Media Center along with the book.

3. Use this idea for from the publisher's website for the book. This is a great book to encourage children to talk, write and illustrate about things that scare them.

I had to lean over and put my head between my knees. A student who actually uses an ELMT 7250 assignment in her database! Whoopee! Ilene, your plot summary is exactly what I hoped to see. Give me more like it. Looked at the stickers and have decided to print them as rewards for my grad students.
