Comments: Kamishibai is a fascinating form of storytelling that lends itself to student-produced work and performance. Creating the story, illustrations and format is, in some ways, a primitive version of a Powerpoint presentation.
Extensions:
1. This is an interesting format for web-based research using another of Allen Say's books. It could be adopted for use with this book and could integrate some sites on Kamishibai.
2. This is a lesson I created for IT 7360 which includes a Powerpoint about Kamishibai and a lesson plan. The lesson plan can be found here.
3. Additional lesson plans will be developed for IT 7360 using Kamishibai.
