Brief Description of Content: A book that explains the purpose and value of money using examples that children will be able to understand.
Personal Review/Selection rationale: Although money and economics are an extensive part of the Georgia Performance Standards for early elementary students in kindergarten through third grade, the concepts can be difficult to explain. Finding a highly regarding book on the subject is not easy and thus, this book is a good choice. Its reading level is appropriate(ATOS 4.0) and an AR test is available. This could be a good choice for classroom libraries, in addition to making it available in the Media Center.
