Personal Review/Selection rationale:
The existing books in our collection about Johnny Appleseed are from 1962 and 1991. The opportunity to add a title by Jane Yolan was an easy decision. Johnny Appleseed is part of the first grade standards. This book would also appeal to older students with a 4.9 ATOS level and an AR book available.
