Addressing Georgia Performance Standards as well as Expeditionary Learning Design Principle - The National World - this title is published by Candlewick Press. Candlewick is a progressive, independent publisher founded in 1991. It was named "the fastest growing children’s book publisher in the U.S." by Publishers Weekly. The book has simple illustrations with such ideas as turning off the water while brushing teeth and drawing on both sides of the paper. The book is much less sterile than some other non-fiction books I have seen about the environment.
